Take two. Nose has intense and very high toned minerality, along with piercing gooseberry fruit. A hint of greengage. Intense in the mouth. Very intense. Strikingly mineral, but with a round texture. It’s got fruit and great minerality in equal measure, along with zinging acids. Great Sauvignon. Will age effortlessly for several more years.

Fabulous! Took some time to open, but unfurled with air and warmth. So much going on, yet textbook linearity of mineral and citrus still preserved. Citrus, hay, wet stones on the nose. The palate has a creamy texture, with waves of tropical fruit salad, cut grass, lemon, and earthy minerality. Very long. Delicious, complex, and serious. Only topped by Daguenau’s Pur Sang for me. Not cheap but worth every penny.
