Foyt Family Wines No. 64 Knights Valley Zinfandel 2018, Sonoma, California

Dark ruby in color with medium intensity and a wide reddish rim.

Strong nose of black fruits with cedar, cloves, vanilla and chocolate notes. Loved the nose here.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing blueberries, plums, raspberries, tobacco leaf, cedar, herbs, vanilla, chocolates, peppercorn, light earth and spices.

Medium plus in length of the finish, with fine grained tannins and raspberries.

This 5 year old Zinfandel is drinking very nicely now. Spicy and entertaining.

Smooth with a nice mouthfeel. Tangy and interesting. Fruit forward and good right out of the bottle.

Alcohol is nicely integrated once it opens up (90 minutes). As it opens up, more red fruits come into play.

Easy drinking and good by itself.
Will pair nicely with a burger and fries.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.
