Annual Fall seclusion at our cabin in the Rangeley lakes region of Maine.

Huge ripeness. Gorgeous acidity. Gorgeous freshness. Very mineral. So juicy and invigorating!

I like Liason in all shapes and sizes and 2020 has a lot to say without any pointy angles.
It's the one with a heavier hand, in cloudy maroon velvet sweats. Brighter and overt, the loyalists might miss some delicacy.
That familiar natty nose, with rolling perfumed volatility and stemmy, woodsy notes. Textured, syrupped, candied sweet cherry and rosemary for a mixed cocktail.

Really delicious. Wasn’t sure what to expect at this stage, have others in storage for some evolution but this was wonderful tonight. Opened the bottle 7 hours before but no decant and it was very giving. Somewhat pale in the glass but so much red fruit on the nose and the palate. Almost feels slightly carbonic in terms of how it is expressing but I don’t think it actually is. Incredible length and freshness on the finish - great acid. Excellent pairing with a Tuscan style roast chicken and mushrooms.

Much better than the last bottle I had. Pronounced tart cherry fruit profile, nice acid with some nice tannins. Quite good.

Bright cherry, more dark and meat notes than a burgundy but somehow also bright fruits. Great balance.

Decanted and drank over two days with no notable change in profile. Not a particularly fruit forward Pinot, more dusty tannins, with some back acid.

This was a surprise! The body and color were surprisingly light, with a light maroon/burgundy, and a Nose of sharpie and old velvet couch opening to notes of wet leaves, and then evolving into chamoy and a fresh bouquet of flowers. this is a wild and excitingly different wine. Like, wow, at first the palate was straight sweet jam, then it became vegetal, with pronounced freshness of prickly pear, with well integrated tannins and a slightly orange citrus finish.
