Deliciously quaffable, inexpensive dry #riesling from Trader Joe’s. Sure, not much complexity here but the flavors of the grape shine through. Apple, pear and hints of beeswax nose; juicy acidity followed by crisp sweet apple. I’d say this is an less-dry style but not off-dry. Excellent pairing with fish & chip tacos with an aromatic mild curry sauce. QPR for this $6 bottle is way up there.

Self-care in the time of Corona means avoiding the news and getting fucking drunk. I realized today that Delectable is the only “safe space” on my phone during this whole pandemic vibes — there’s no anxiety and panic, it’s all joy up in here. Big thanks to all of you for keeping the wine content flowing, especially the G.O.A.T. of the wine game, @Mike R. And a big, big Corona shoutout to emergency medicine doc @Brendan Devine who is keeping motherfuckers alive right now.
