Luminous red. Aromas of flinty red berries, fresh herbs and broom on the enticing nose. Then richer and riper than the Pirrera, with a smoother, deeper personality and a more balanced approach to its fleshy and structured red fruit and herbal flavors. Finishes long and crisp. It’s a hard grape to grow, as you know. It’s thin-skinned, temperamental. It’s not a survivor like Cabernet that can grow anywhere and thrive even when neglected. PINOT needs constant care and attention, you know? And in fact it can only grow in these really specific, little, tucked away corners of the world. And, and only the most patient and nurturing of growers can do it, really. Only somebody who really takes the time… to understand PINOT’S potential… can then coax it into its fullest expression.”

High toned red cherry. Garnet in the glass. Nice purity to the flavors.

Nice. Lots of dark fright. Plum/prune. Dark cherry. A bit of acid and tannin.

Etna meets Burgundy? This is no doubt and etna wine that’s true to its terrior, but if I didn’t know where it was from I could easily think this burgundy. 🌋🌋🌋

2016 is straight up fresh with gentle depth, a sort of Etna / Burgundy mash-up. Extremely enjoyable.
