Bold, full body and more bold. My kind of PN. Beautiful display of a California PN from Russian River. Garnet in the glass, the beauty of this wine is the nose. Hot, wet granite, lush roasted berries, roses, juniper with strawberry shining. Excellent balance of tannins and acidity. Powerful yet detailed on the palate, slight mint, forest floor, with the core showing milk chocolate and raspberry. Finishes soft, pepper and sexy.

A little smoked trout, a little sourdough, a dry-farmed tomato, a few sautéed padrons... A good bottle, not too heavy, a good amount of fruit. Yummy midsummer Monday dinner!

While I enjoyed the 2009 more this was still a delicious Pinot. Ages very well.

Very strong and aggressive, acidic beginning taste. Smooth, sweet, and mellow finish. Extremely unique.
