Pour this ruby wine and just let it sit there a while. Take your time and you will be rewarded as the black raspberry nose takes on smoke, cedar, graphite and cigar aromas. It really opens up to be a massive bouquet. The flavors are certainly fruity enough - plums, blackberries and blueberries - but there are so many shades of complexity it's hard to not be taken aback. Anise gives way to vanilla, which gives way to sage and black pepper. That herbal, spicy feeling lasts into the lengthy finish.

Straightforward Dry Creek Cabernet here. Black currant, cherry, black olive and allspice. Palate is lengthy, smooth, and balanced. No complaints for a mid range CA cab.

2012 Dry Creek Cab made with fruit from the Western slopes in the Dry Creek Region. Delicious flavors of cherries and cranberries- very smooth on the finish with soft underlying tannins and red fruit. Great surprise!!

Solid cab. Nothing outstanding, but very drinkable, and good value.

Blackberry, cassis, mossy earth, currant, eucalyptus, oak and hints of vanilla. Great structure and length. Quite tannic.

Young cab that pairs well with pork or steak. Not as full bodied as most cabs but very pleasant finish

What an elegant cab. Cranberry, dark cherry, black currant, touch of spice. Great mouth feel, but not too thick. Dry finish.
