Third of the blind white wines at this quarter's S&E Wine Club, which for whites was Chardonnay vs Chenin Blanc. Thanks Claude and Carrie.
Very light pale yellow. A touch sweet on the nose with lots of acidic fruits like lemon, limes, and even a bit of green grapetiser. Medium acidity (6.5/10) and super light and fresh on the palate. Minimal if any oak, do not think there is any though. Lots of stone fruits, and green apples. Light bodied and medium finish. Drink till 2019.

Well balanced acidity and just a hint of honey helps round out a great wine. Paired deliciously with pan seared scallops accompanied with shallots and heirloom tomatoes. ($10) [11/29/2017]

Dry with Medium acidity and nice quality of candied pear. A bit light on flavor for the perception of alcohol that feels higher than the labeled 13%. Crisp medium body. Dry Creek Vineyards is a bastion of American chenin blanc and this wine shows that the variety can't be written off.

Found this gem at grocery/wine dept.! Look at that golden color, presents increased viscosity compared to younger vintages of this wine!
Loads of tropical fruit; papaya, mango; apples peaches, lemon pastry, honey and mild cheese rind!
This is hard to compare to Loire valley Chenin Blanc; but this has been the best sampling of this wine for me! Cheers! 🍋🍎🧀🍯
