Magnificent and interesting blend of Dundee Hills Oregon Pinot Noir (70%) and Walla Walla Syrah (30%). The floral and earthy characteristics of the Pinot Noir come to the fore as well as the fruit forward and spicy nature of the Syrah. This is especially true as the wine opens up. Earth, violet and vanilla aromas give way to blue and black fruits. Those same fruits (along with black cherry) fill the pallet. Hints of espresso and vanilla on the long and pronounced finish. Beautiful balance of flavor, texture and acidity. I’m guessing other US Pinot producers blend in Syrah but simply do not announce it. (And stay within labeling laws). A Pinot that would work well with a steak. Great quality!

Dec 25th, 2021Stunning! Heather, hay, and forest loam on the nose. Blueberry and boysenberry on the palate, low acid, some tannins, very luxurious.
