2013...tasting is believing! All the blue fruit and animal that you want from northern Rhone with Kung fu carbonic precision on the palate. Wants oxygen to really strut its stuff. Thanks #lecaveau

Totally unique. Touch of Carbonic. Fresh, lively, perfect food wine. 2013 vintage. "Burst of red fruit followed by a soft, smooth palate of warm earth with a hint of tobacco. " ZM

After last night's indulgences, spending some one on one time with Hervé.

En magnum. Out of the gate this seems like 10 years too young. This is packing a punch that still impressed everyone at the table (luckily I opened the bottle the day before 😳) but nonetheless would not give it up completely. Finish is amazing! Minutes long of electricity and black berries. Nose wants to fight with a Gonon for champion but today I must say it is subdued. HOLD! cannot say it enough that I didn't know what I was doing. Hold on to this bottle. It has a long way to go with A LOT to say.

So nice to revisit this wine, which I last had on New Year's Day 2015. I think it's less accessible at this moment than it was then, but in a way that looks promising for its future. A soulful and transparent wine which I hope will add some mid palate fat to its profile in years to come.

Blue fruit but never opened up much for the lamb course. Peppery but lacking northern Rhone character.

My favourite Souhault. Drinking so well. Blueberries and fruit. Smooth. Balanced. Elegant.
