High intensity aromatics like most 2000. Palate doesn't always follow through, though the nose does give a lot to live up to. overall it's a great bottle of wine.

2000 red Burgundies were overshadowed by blockbuster years like '99 & '02 but those who bought the softer, more forward 2000s really scored because despite their gentler structure they are well-balanced...the key to any good vintage. These are wines for current drinking and, in the case of this Dujac, glorious drinking!

Very complex nose, at the perfect stage of its evolution, no sign of getting tired any time soon. Red cherries, earl grey tea notes, graphite spice. Juicy, very bright and lively. Lovely!
