Stunning fruit.a whiff of matchstick… oh there but great tension and balance. This has a long life ahead now but is a primal joy right now

A punch of oak then lemon curd and bright sizzling acidity. Really intense and dynamic with wet stone. Citrus, white flowers, honeyed notes in the background. This is much more lucid, intense and fresh than most of the others I’ve tasted. Wonderful.

A beautiful wine. Lafon just nails this 1er cry from CdB. Laser sharp structure. Delicate balance of mineral and chard boldness.

After tasting Chablis in the morning it’s hard not to notice the vast stylistic differences. This is a very big wine. Very round and rich (though by French rather than American standards). You can taste some of the oak tannins as well as mineral core. Though this isn’t my favorite style, it was delicious. At Cave Madeline.
