Villa de Corullon Bierzo Mencía

Blend of 97% Mencía and 3% white grapes, deep Ruby red color with aromas of ripe black fruits, pepper spice and oak. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry and plum with cinnamon, cacao, cacao and smoky notes. Fine chewy tannins, medium+ finish, lively acidity, nice mouthfeel, ending with vanilla and earthy chaulky mineral tones, a fine Sipping Wine! Organic!

Juicy and fresh with nice earthy tones! Great with caesar mushrooms as the earthy notes fuse mid pallet and leave behind a fennel like phenolic that is absolutely fantastic!

Medium minus concentration and staining, ruby, garnet rim, tart red berries, intensely herbaceous: rosemary, rose skin, rose petal, lavender, medium plus acidity, elevated tannin, elevated body. “No sure if it ages we’ll.”

A sensational wine in particular in relation to the price. Elegance, but with full body and character. What a family of wine experts!
