Vieilles Vignes Corcelette Morgon Gamay

This drinks like a southern Rhône at this point - a good one though. Must be the vintage. I had an ‘08 Bouland Morgon last year that was much less dense.

And another fave, finally opening after 18 hours to breathe. Needs another good 5 yrs. #09s

Fortress-like at opening, dark, reduced. After 30, plum & bright red fruits & focus. Keeping the rest stashed for another 5 yrs min.

Lacking some of the brightness other bottles have displayed.

Like @Bill Bender , a little too forward for me. Bison burgers & #beaujolais.

Very different than the Potel Aviron CdB, much riper, like a dark fruit compote, lovely, still some tannins, brilliant Beaujolais also!!
