Cherries and bright, purplish red fruit, herbal elixir and white pepper on the nose. Completely transparent, its sweetness paired with a subtly bitter herbal finish, and intense minerality. Beautiful vintage for a beautiful wine. Very much signals its shared identity with Italian Rossese.

@Josh Morgenthau ‘s review captures the beauty of this vintage well. Ripe berries laced with an attractive herbal bitterness. Medium-bodied, gorgeous mouthfeel. Drinking beautifully now.

Fruity and tannic wine, good with my barbecue chicken sauce. Different but inelegant wine. A nice rustic choice for when you need wine for spicy and mustard based sauces.

For me, this wine expresses the terroir of southern France better than any other I've had at this price point. This year syrah replaces grenache as the complement to the dominant tibouren. Aromas and flavors of dirt, dried leaves, herbs, cherry, and mandarin orange provide the link to Provence and give the wine its unique character. 90% Tibouren, 10% Syrah. 9/26/22.
