Medium garnet , terracotta rim . Quite intense tobacco , cassis , earthy blackberry , coffee. On the palate the fills out ok , with some dusty tobacco tinged dark fruits , slightly austere and rather dry tannins , just starting to dry out on the finish . Quite fresh acidity , ok length . This is at the end of its drinking window and is actually quite a good example of Sociando Mallet , a little rustic but commendable for the vintage . Drink now and over the next couple of years
