2018 vintage. According to the notes, it’s been 1.5 years since last tasting. I call bs. That roughly 5% Petit Verdot phenomenally prepares the frontal assault. THE Bordeaux (along with Cos) when looking to initiate a BDX virgin. Enough stuffing for the most jaded BDX drinker and soft enuff for those without the tattoos and scars of the BDX wars. Will go 10-12 years easily…past that…??? Plushy and giving. When the lights go on and the curtain goes up, this performs-and how. 11.12.23.

2018 vintage. Graphite, cherry and ripe dark plum in the nose. That tantalizing P-L perfectly medium body. Dill, rosemary, cedar, mint and sandalwood adding to the plum and cherry on the finish. “Devolving” a bit as the evident showiness of the last six months is retreating. Wine is a living thing so it’s allowed to have attitude. Crawling back into its’ shell for now.

This doesn’t disappoint. Lots of fruit and lush tannins. Mint and sage on the nose. Nothing bad to say. Young but very approachable now. 14%

2018 vintage. Drinking solidly but without some of the demonstrative characteristics previous bottles displayed.

2018 vintage. Tasting yet again after three whole weeks. An amalgamation of two previous reviews from 9.1.21 and 9.19.21. 93.5/100. Mint and a hint o’ leather factored into the equation. Aren’t we all eternally solving for X?

2018 vintage. Tasting again for the first time in seventeen days. This bottle a little more closed. Some big spearmint on the nose. Sexy but not voluptuous body. Still a beautiful balance between fruit, tannins and acidity. Don't sleep on this one.

2018 vintage. Yet another 2018 that’s out of the blocks quickly. Not getting much out of the nose besides silt, black coffee and a little dark cherry. Medium-bodied. Smoother than a polished marble floor right now with just enough acidity. Espresso bean, bleached white paper, that dark cherry, brandy and raspberry pushing the tasting narrative. Had pushed all my chips into the center of the table with their 2015 and (to a lesser extent) 2016 vintages. May hafta open a line of credit for this vintage.
