Bigger and darker than some things at this price. Pretty Oaked and fairly brief on the pallet.

Aug 6th, 20172011, Chateau Pesquie, Terrasses, Ventoux, Grenache blend. This is a bigger, heavier Ventoux. Black fruit, earthy, violets and a little cedar. Just a little hot.

Feb 15th, 20162011, Chateau Pesquie, Terrasses Ventoux, 70% Grenache 30% Syrah. This is a big, meaty Southern Rhone. I am always amazed at the blend ratio because it drinks more like a Syrah. Well balanced, some years the alcohol can be more noticeable, but not in this 2011. Lots of black fruit, little red fruit, lavendar, and lots of spice and savory elements. Pairs well with most red meats off the grill.
