“This is a really good wine, you know? For a couple hundred bucks, you can’t do any better than this!” - said the rich guy drinking it.

Light weight, fragrant and delicate, this feminine Bdx is actually drinking well already. Due to its fragile mid-palate, this is better downed within the next 10 years.

A little more backward in smell and less resolved tannins. More fresh than the 2009. Can use a bit more time.

🎄 Advent Halfy Calendar Day 11 🎄

🎅 Santa says “what’s Mrs Claus after giving me this lovely festive juice on a Tuesday 😊”

📝 I say this is drinking well young but I’d leave 5-20 years 😉

⏩ 🍾 Mrs E got Pommery Brut Royal NV

📍 Chateau Langoa Barton 2010

🏵 92 points w/ more potential

🍇 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc & 17% Merlot

🍷 Deep dark blackened ruby

👃 Smoked oak through blackcurrant & dark plum w/ a touch of raspberry liquorice, cocoa, black cherry, light blueberry & minerals

👄 Med body of rich ripe punchy blackcurrant w/ dark plum, cocoa & raspberry liquorice

🎯 A long blackcurrant driven dark fruit bomb with a real raspberry undertone & blueberry tickle

Very approachable wine but still much complexity for tasting. An excellent way to finish the evening!

GL tasting 1/27/17 Langoa Leoville. Nose that's balanced fruit and earth and generous. Hints of barnyard? Palate that's more red black fruit and acidic and long complex finish. Tannic bit elegant. Age!

Thin on the nose, but a rich and soft entrance. Silky. Long and slightly spicy finish. Overall softer than expected, but smooth, rich, and delicious.
