Drinking really well...Black and crimson in color. Sweet on the nose, a clear floral note. Bright, sweet and hint of smoke. Finish is soft as the tannins are fully resolved. Acid gives this wine length and finish. Has another 10+ easy.

Tasting group last night. My 4th, Group 3rd. Cassis, cinnamon. Ripe plum/prune. Wondered about the cork.

While others liked this wine, I found it defective, with dried out fruit, wet newsprint aromas, and an unsatisfying palate and finish. Do not buy.

Needs another decade or two, but all the stuffing's there. Should be a great one!

Dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, tobacco and asphalt. Flowery and Spicy in the mouth, long and complex, elegant. A bit cistercian. Has many years ahead. Maybe will be even better in 3 to 5 years ?

Monsieur Manoncourt’s 50th vintage. 95 has these wild and non civilized tannins. Here they work well after all these years. Wine is elegant and stylish, complex, good structure, and will always be a bit Cistercian. The acidity gives it quite a good lift. Tell tale Cab notes of Cedar, Tobacco and blackcurrant. Great stuff.

1 hour plus decant. Dark red with brownish tones highlighting some bricking. Wine was probably just past prime drinking age. Nose was funky with metallic and damp earth elements. Nice texture on the palate, but was expecting more fruit and depth. I will say it was the longest finishing wine I’ve ever had!!! It’s very nice but overpriced in my mind.

Lovely Cab Franc dominates nose. A mix of bell pepper, cassis and lovely tobacco. Still tannins to shed. Middleweight and lithe. Not a blockbuster.
