Sipping Fine Wine

BV grapes, first planted back in 1900, by founder Georges de Latour. A blend of 94% Cab Sauv, 2% Petit Verdot, 2% Petit Sirah & 2% Merlot. Deep dense red with rich fruit aromas with floral oak spice. On the palate blackberry & cherry flavors with cacao and toasty cedar notes. Fine tannins, a bit tight, lingering finish, well integrated, nicely balanced. Nice value!

Dark purple in color. Big and bold. Nice mouth feel. Earthy. Notes of cassis and leather. Very nice wine.

A wine that is certainly well-integrated and showcases the flavors of red and black fruits as well as a backbone that grips ahold of the experience. Maybe a touch thin. I think the reason I can't go higher in score here is simply that I can't pick a single thing out here that I would call interesting. I mean, that may be a tribute to the winemakers for finding a balance, but I really find these to be the hardest wines to judge.

So so good. Like you can actually taste how good of a wine it is.
