I get that this style garners huge scores but it's lost on me. Tons of oak flavors, diacetyl, a bit of lemon and pear. Tastes overdone and very much like it reflects the winemaker rather than the fruit and vintage.

For me, this is the ideal California Chardonnay with caramel but very little oak. Very persistent and smooth finish of vanilla, butterscotch, with good minerality. Almost as good as the Lauren.

10' Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. I found this buried in the cellar with my Aubert chards. I haven't had this bottle in sometime. Trying to understand why there was so much WOOD in this wine. The fruit has dissipated… it's just gone.

Wow, a powerful Chard. 15% alc, but still showing decent acid. Lemon curd, and overripe pear.

Love this. Smooth but with character. One of the best Pinots I have had.

I got a nice gravel and tropical fruit nose. Pineapples, caramel, honey on the palate.

Slightly cloudy pale yellow color. This wine is very well balanced and has a nice combo of yellow fruit and just enough oak. Good acidity. Not as complex as single vineyard wines from them but still delivers a great experience.

A little rough on opening, but smoothed out nicely with air and still drinking well on night two.

Keylime and honeysuckle. Caramel and mineral. Huge finish preceded by a massive nose. Damn near perfect. A food wine that still has a lot of life left.
