Fabulous contribution from @Steve Anderson for a day after 4th of July celebration to honor the talented Toronto tasting note king from Berserkers Mike Grammar. I’m a big fan of the Eastside. It’s more balance and compelling verve than the in your face opulence of some of the other SVDs. Fresh pear rather than the honeyed pear of the Sugar Shack, clean lines, fresh honeysuckle. A great start to the night.

A big, fruit filled, creamy Chardonnay. Had a nice streak of gravel in there as well.

12' I truly believe old world meets new in this bottle of wine. The perfect balance of fruit & minerals. Lemon pie crust, salty caramel ,bed rock & graceful acidity across the glass. 30 seconds on the finish... wanting another glass. It will get even better with time. With the addition of these new vineyards his chards are one, it not the best in California.

And this is my 2nd favorite white this year. Best Aubert since the '08 Lauren for me.

Easily one of the best Aubert chardonnays I’ve ever had, the 2012 Eastside is unreal. Really can’t describe it, except to say that the honeyed, stone-fruit aromatics are incredible, the balance is impeccable, and the finish goes on forever. Just awesome.

Beautiful Cali Chard. I prefer Lauren or Ritchie but this is very well made. Very light on its feet with purity of fruit and richness and length
