Antoine Sunier
Régnié Gamay
This wine has multiple personality disorder. The nose is extremely pretty. Almost confectionary red fruits and lovely subtle granitic minerality. The palate begins in a way that’s consistent with the nose, with deep red fruit, but then the flavors turn puzzlingly bitter as time passes. The tactile feel is nice, with little tannin and good acids. Right now it’s an 8.7 because of the bitterness on the palate. But I will recork the rest and re-test tomorrow night.
