Louis Roederer

Cristal Brut Champagne Chardonnay Pinot Noir Blend 2013

Pale gold with infinitesimally tiny pearl. Sweet Meyer lemon micro-layer in cream on brioche. Lemon madeleine, rose leaf, lemon pith, grapefruit essence, baby’s breath, vidalia, toasted challah; smoothest silky mousse. Bright and zesty lime thoroughly coats the mouth; lemon oils bubbling. Lemongrass depth, with starfruit and quince streaks. Palpable minerality and saline interplay. Races on forever.

L'Ermitage Brut Anderson Valley Chardonnay Pinot Noir 2006

Wilfred Wong
9.4

Simply outstanding! Medium straw yellow color, active and steady beads; green apple and mineral in the aromas, bright and lively, excellent energy and depth; medium bodied, zesty and buoyant on the palate, pretty strong effervescence; dry, fine acidity, well balanced; superior freshness, tart apples, some mineral and yeastiness; long finish, bright aftertaste. A wonderful effort, bright and zesty. Made from 52% Chardonnay and 48% Pinot Noir. (Best Served: 2014-2019) #bubbly #roederer #andersonvalley #sparklingwine — 9 years ago

Starck Brut Nature Champagne Blend 2006

Yessss! Dry dry dry. Sprite...lemon-lime zest, followed by the lingering cellar notes of an aged Camembert. Ooooh for the love of stinky cheese! #brutnature #roederer — 9 years ago

You won't see me post a lot of non-RM Champagne. But this is pure, lively, and full of precise tension. #brutnature #roederer #stark #champagne — 9 years ago

Awesome stuff! I always recommend the Roederer to this that can't find any RM Champagne around them. I tasted this "secret" new release in a shiner bottle this summer with Jean-Batiste. Very good stuff!

@Doug Burress even for the grower purists this is worth the price of admission. Sometimes we need to not outthink ourselves. Listen to your palate not your expectations
