On to the red wine! Too young but I wanted to try the first bottle of the batch for a baseline. @Billy L. yeah, I'd say if you have multiple bottles of them all, go ahead and check in. Sample them on open, but '05 probably still needs a decant, especially the GCs...it was a big year, I wouldn't be surprised if there was 200% oak on some, if not most, of those wines.

Baby killing to check out a bottle at the beginning. Distinct Vosne spice, star anise, cinnamon, cardamom. This would be fantastic with a bowl of Pho, ha!

Young, pretty, still very tight, the tannins grip like Velcro while still managing to come off as silk smooth after that initial lock in fades. Aside from the spices, black cherry, hint of cream, sweet tarragon, the subtlest mint, damn this is good already.

Will open another in 2024, ha!
