Signature Castillo Vineyard Chardonnay 2010

Popped and poured; consumed over two hours. Beautiful, bright straw color. Very little sign of age, visually. A very pretty bouquet of quince, figs, honeysuckle, almonds and flan. On the palate it's peaches, melon with a touch of almond. Quite a sexy body and the acidity is just perfect. Long finish. Never dropped off. My last of three bottles and the most impressive of the bunch. Time was very kind to this. What a lovely, and frankly impressive, Chardonnay from McElmo. — 5 years ago

A touch on the austere side but a great age potential and as uprising watermelon on the nose. 100% respectable 100% #cowine go Colorado! — 7 years ago

Or a surprising watermelon. Though the watermelon revolt sounds interesting too.

Plum Creek

Grand Mesa Red Bordeaux Blend 2012

Cedar, and spice with some decent red fruit. Still structured (5 years later). Was hoping for more fruit to go with the body. #blend #cowine #plumcreek — 5 years ago

#winestudio#winestudio#winestudio 2011 Creekside Cellars #COWine #Cabernet #Franc, Grand Valley. 13.9 abv. Woody aromas mixed with bramble liqueur, black cherry and spice box with a whiff to tobacco. No herbal notes. Bracing acid. Would prefer less oak however. Soft and silky finish. #wine #colorado #sommelier — 8 years ago
