It is an incredible bottle of wine. Great nose, texture and long finish. I like it with a good pasta dish, venison stew - or just sitting in my chair listening to an Italian opera, gazing into the North Carolina Mountain Wonderland. Luckily I still have a few bottles of the delight left in the cellar — 7 years ago

Very good with 5 years on it! Night 1 had bold fruit and by night 2 it developed into a spicy and smoky wonderland with just a hint of salinity. — 9 years ago

2011. Skin contact Pinot Gris done in wood (oak, acacia) and stainless steel. A textural wonderland. Nice acidity and still plenty of interesting flavors. — 11 years ago

A wonderland young and fresh wine, drinking beautifully. — 8 years ago
This is my current favorite wine. Its from Left Foot Charlie's in Traverse City, Mi. The brewery is located on the grounds of an old asylum which is like for sure haunted.
The taste of Garden Wine is crisp and light and makes me envision drinking it in a Wonderland garden tea party. There is an almost sour tone that makes me believe there is rhubarb involved. — 8 years ago
A classic ripe tannin long finish decanted for an hour. Wonderland! — 8 years ago
Exceptional clarity of color, a pale white. Explosive aromatics of juicy floral floral fruit. A touch one dimensional on the palette but the finish is electric acid wonderland. — 9 years ago

Excellent. ..Creamy smooth winter wonderland, dropping into puffy powdered banks making snow angels. .. enjoyed comfortably nxt to a roaring fire in early March as an ice storm rages past my door. — 7 years ago
Wow. A fantastic offering by John Alban, I cannot imagine this 2006 drinking any better than it is right now. Aromatics dominated by grenache with hints of kirsch, herbs, and earthy undertones all skirting around the edge of Alban's signature intensity of fruit, smoke, and iodine. Has amazing balance with a great combination of silkiness and enough tannic backbone to keep it alive on the palate. Finish lingers on for almost a minute. This can probably go a few more years...but why wait? Another amazing wine from the Edna Valley wonderland that is Alban Vineyards!!!! — 8 years ago
Wow, what a fabulous cabernet. Very deep in colour, with wonderful complexity and perfect balance. Perfectly ripened cassis and violets on the front palate giving way to a wonderland of complex savoury flavours on the back palate - tobacco, tar, bay leaf and burnt cedar all mingle in a seamless combination. The exceptionally fine grained tannins, barely perceptible. Faultless.
I don’t recall ever having tasted such a well composed cabernet at such a young age. Utterly spellbinding. — 8 years ago
Super acid wonderland. Very citrus, limey. Alcohol nicey integrated along with the 40 percent new oak. You can't tell. Impressive. — 8 years ago
