Willakenzie Estate

WillaKenzie Estate

Estate Yamhill-Carlton Pinot Noir 2018

Fruit filled. Cassis and blackberries. I found the ethanol and fruit to be slightly out of balance. Leaning to the hot side. Overall very good. — 12 days ago

Bryce Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015

[Tasted on October 16, 2022 at Home]

Purchased during 2017 visit to the winery. Vineyard is in Ribbon Ridge AVA with Willakenzie soils. Black cherry, raspberry and blueberry fruit, with orange zest, cinnamon spice, black pepper and violet notes. Blue fruit and spice driven. Almost has a touch of effervescence. Reminiscent of Beaux Freres.

Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2017

Medium Ruby with aromas of berries, floral and spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and black raspberry with notes of currants, pepper spice, mushroom and earthy oak notes. Aged for 10 months on French oak, fine grainy tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit and earthy character. Very nice. — 6 months ago
