Ahhhh Raul! A lovely Mencia that is heart and soul of Bierzo, Spain. Kinda like Pinot Noir but with a little more blue fruits. Wicked with buffalo carpaccio. In stock today ($40). #renegadewines #santabarbara #winenerd #sb #sommlife #winetasting #wineporn #seesb #trustyourpalate #montecito #sbcwine #seriousjuice — 9 years ago

Wish I waited but had to pull the cork after the coravin disaster. Glorious wine with wicked potential. Delicate viscosity with serious brightness. Wish I had a 2nd btl of the '12 bc I don't have the patience to wait 2+yrs again. — 9 years ago

This is a wicked wine. Medium red/medium garnet. Savory wine for sure. Nose is majority meat ( maybe some beef that’s been left in the sun, or some smoked bacon ), black tea, sour cherry, plum, earth, poo, some floral notes. Palate follows, meat and black tea, strawberry, sour cherry. All of the Cayuse has this similarity for sure. Horsepower Sur Echalas light. — 6 years ago
