Tour d’Argent. Surprisingly young color, light gold. At first it’s soft and delicate. With air it shows notes of citrus, tan spice, white clay, minerals and some cardamom. Pale light yellow gold. Lively constant tiny bubbles. Deep round nose with high pitched fruit. Notes of pear, grapefruit, chalk and limestone. With more air you find some citrus and honeysuckle. Chewy in the mouth with great mouthfeel. Coats the entire mouth. Long finish lingers a minute or more. Velvet. Killer juice. Was inspired to open one of these after seeing a friend’s TN this weekend. Fresh, light gold. Bright and vibrant in the glass. Even more vibrant in the nose. Exotic, notes of lemon peel, wet river stone, petrol, slate, apricot and spice. Consumed 12/2017. Full rich flavors of berry, Cassis and black cherry with hints of vanilla in the background. From a great looking bottle with high fill and perfect cork. Yellow gold and heavy weight in the glass. Bright tropical nose with notes of citrus fruit, river stone, petrol, clove and orange peel. Nice and round in the mouth but still with great acidity. Coats the taste buds. This was better in the first two hours than when compared to the last 4 hours. From the Tour dArgent wine list. FnA. This is amazing Chablis. Light to med gold. Closed at first. Just wait... There it is. Kermidgean white soil and white rock stone. Shell bits. Over 3 hrs this built into that honeyed mineral stone pit fruit thing that is aged Raveneau. It's what got me interested in Chablis. It's why that disease continues. — 10 years ago
