First wine in a while that I actually will drink and not taste. A deep golden aged color with a complex nose of savory/sweet. Caramel/foie gras, opulent. But a minerality emerges after 3-5 minutes. Beautiful fresh palate with some pretty notes of lime zest, light petrol and terrific finesse. Finishes light and citrusy with that lime showing on the finish. Will surely open up over the next few hours. Ready to go. UPDATE: on day 2 this improved vastly with lovely herbal aromas, and amazingly vivid and deep fruit and long complex finish. Wow. — 10 years ago
