Most German Pinot Noir look too old for their age, at least 4-5 yrs aout. This is another of them. There's still plenty of fruit (though decidedly leaning more towards maturity than youth.) like many in this category from Germany, there's enough of a combo of acidity and evolution that there seems to be a touch too much prominent maturity for the wine's age. — 11 years ago

Petrol-apples and fruit bat guano! Minerals for miles and a crisp seltzer with lime! Lemon-lime and apple cider. The burnt rubber, slate petrol rides a wave of acidity that nearly effervesces, then gets cleaner smoother but lightly smoky with tar and camphor on the citrus extract finish. — 11 years ago
