My first Freisa! Loving the Nebbiolo-like structure and body. — 10 years ago
Told the oenophobe boyfriend to grab a bottle of Primitivo. Not wanting to disappoint the oenophile girlfriend, he came home with this and I could tell from the second I opened it, it would have a beautiful spice and finish. Boy did it. Yum yum yum. We had it with a honey-glaze roast chicken and it was utterly seductive! — 11 years ago

Love this wine - soft on the palate, gentle spice (coriander) on the nose. Perfect accompaniment to cooking dinner! — 6 years ago
Non sweet but light bodied. Like a perfect, lightweight, summary pinot. No fruit. Liked a lot. — 7 years ago
Old school rustic Italian, quite dark fruited, salty. Medium body. Very tannic on the back end, very structured wine. Substantial acid. Needs a couple hours of air to come together and show properly. Pair with 🍝 for a pretty pretty good time. // turns into something special on day 2 — 9 years ago

After 39 years, this wine still has held up well. Typical Rioja Tempranillo grapes with tobacco, leather and black fruit to the nose. Oaky. Almost no tannins and still balanced.
Given to me by a good friend of mine who obviously kept it well cellared all these years! — 9 years ago
Powerful, medium bodied Barolo, with lots of texture, exquisite notes of spice, dark fruit, and lively acidity. Delightful with pork loin, making for a memorable winter evening. — 10 years ago

— 6 years ago
Dry Brachetto. Bright, easy drinking, very versatile. Pretty nose - strawberry, red cherry, roses . Reminded me of frappato — 7 years ago
