2014 - San Martino della Battaglia is one of the smallest DOC in Italy, that counts 30K bottles for 8 producers. This white is based on Tuchì grapes (actual name for Tocai), it represents a bold move to reaffirm its past identity and visibility to the market niche of Tocai/Tuchì aficionados. An amazing small jewel to discover on the southern shores of Lake Garda. — 10 years ago

My first Freisa! Loving the Nebbiolo-like structure and body. — 9 years ago
Very good medium bodied wine. I'm no wine connoisseur but the good gentleman from my neighbourhood wine shop recommended it for a good Cabernet / Merlot like taste...this tasted great with my true Italian pizza and cost my £18 or so. Highly recommend! — 9 years ago

2012 vintage. Wine was refreshing especially in the heat but who cares when your views are that of the Amalfi Coast. Local little wine from Ravello. — 12 years ago

2014 La Selva #Sangiovese Bianco #Toscano #wine #sommelier #wineporn #italy. Who knew a white from the red Sangio grape existed?! Fresh, almost Sauvvy nose of kiwi, grapefruit & citrus peel with soft yellow apple and pear flavours. Zingy crispy finish. Must have more! #sommlife — 10 years ago

This was a fun one. Somebody called it Roman wine, 40 AD. Seems about right. Walnut, caramel, underlying dried fruit, with acid to keep its pulse. No blend, all albarossa. — 9 years ago
