Mary Taylor Costieres de Nimes Red Rhone Blend 2017

Supple, jammy, silky mouthfeel, grapefruit, reminds me of the smokey charcoal of a Vacqueyras and the fruit of a luscious Pinot.

A recommended Rhône from the local shop owner on 23rd street.

A bouquet that brings the memory of clementines.

A shimmering pool of maroon silk.

BDX Howell Mountain Red Blend

This is one of the best cabs I have ever had at any price point. It’s best described as a show stopper! Was very fortunate to have this wine with a good friend that shared it with me. Would recommend for a special occasion to anyone without reservation over most anything else... — 7 years ago

Cairanne Côtes du Rhône Villages Red Rhône Blend

Really dark fruit flavors with provencal herbs joining the party. I always love these wines for their old world funk and roasted fruit characteristics. — 9 years ago

Sonate No. 9 Opus 10 Extra Brut Champagne Blend

Sturdy champagne for food. Less acidic and more structured than I remember (had this about two years ago as well.) Really good stuff. — 9 years ago

Reserve Niagara Peninsula Ice Wine Vidal 2012

The purest a Vidal can get. Primary aromas of apricot, but the age allowed for some nice caramel complexities to show up. Rich on the palate with strong honey tones and a touch of citrus hiding in the back. Really lingers too, and paired well with a salted caramel cheesecake. — 7 years ago

Vidal Icewine 2017

Pale gold color and a pronounced bouquet of pear, ripe pineapple, apricot and lemon. Unctuous texture, full bodied and creamy on the Palate. A bit light in acidity so it verges on count but the long finish is very clean — 7 years ago

Late Harvest Vidal 2006

A stunner of a sweet wine, high acids offset 110g RS in this honeyed, orange marmalade and tropical fruited beauty. A touch of an oxidized note adds further complexity. Like a hypothetical Tokaji Aszu meets a Trockenberenauslese Riesling. — 10 years ago
