Nectarine and black currant on the nose. Apple upfront with a medium syrupy body. Decent amount of heat starting on the mid-palate and increasing over time. Finishes with a hint of rhubarb. — 5 years ago
I am neither a rose or champagne fan. LOVED THIS! — 7 years ago
Rich and fruity on the middle to drier end... very enjoyable. Love. — 7 years ago
Just lovely...fun, afternoon chillaxin kind of a sparkling rose. — 8 years ago
Young and too eager to pleased. Should wait for another 5 before drinking. — 5 years ago
Nick brought over to share on a hot Friday afternoon in Menlo Park. Leftovers with Ray on Saturday!
Predictably yummy! — 5 years ago
A nice sweet take on a French favourite - uncorking at the end of a long week to toast a sweet finish! Good way to start any evening. — 6 years ago
Not a rose fan. Not an ice wine fan, but this is delicious. Not too sweet, off dry and just yummy. — 6 years ago
Fresh, more of a morning champagne — 7 years ago

At first clean and young, but quickly shows some age despite being young. Toasted biscuit and anise, coats the mouth with body, and ends fresh. Awesome complexity for a younger wine. If drinking soon I’d put the value of this bottle well above the big name producers. — 8 years ago

Winery Notes:
"The 1990 Vintage is a blend of 17 different Crus, all classified as Grands and Premiers Crus.
Black grapes make up two thirds of the blend: 56% Pinot Noir, from the Montagne de Reims and the Grande Vallée de la Marne, and 11% Meunier, from the Premiers Crus in the west of the Montagne de Reims.
The blend is completed with 33% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and, to a lesser extent, from the Montagne de Reims." — 5 years ago
Slate and nectarine on the nose. Lemon and lime upfront followed quickly by that mineral type note. Mid palate has a nice candied ginger impression. Finishes long with a grapefruit oil note, drying on the tongue. — 6 years ago
Almost like an old red burgundy - delicate, ethereal leather, bacon, roses, tobacco - combined with more typical old champagne notes of orange tart and toffee. Never tasted a champagne quite like this. — 8 years ago

Kind of boring in that it is the generic “good” champagne, but very solid (yeah that’s not a tasting note) and lots of bubbles — 4 years ago
