Stonefruit aroma reminding me of nectarine and bing cherry with some delicate florals in the background. Tart and juicy body with hints of mandarin orange. Grapefruit drying finish. Pretty nice sparkling. — 4 years ago
Ca’del Bosco, Franciacorta, Cuvée Prestige, NV, Extra Brut, ABV 12.5%. 🇮🇹
Here is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Nero varieties, with a dosage at disgorgement introducing only 1 gram of sugar per liter, making this an Extra Brut sparkling wine (6 g/l max), coming from Franciacorta DOCG in the Lombardy region of Italy. Franciacorta sparklers are known for being produced with a second fermentation in the bottle and prolonged aging on the “lees” á la Méthode Champenoise. 🍾🥂
This is a beautiful representation. It’s pale gold, bone-dry, and offers toasty, bready notes next to tart, youthful peach, pear, and apple, lemon pith, blanched almonds, desiccated white flower, and wet slate. 💕
This wine is bright, elegant, and focused. It could cut through butter and is a delicious pairing with creamy, soft cheeses.👌👌👌

Light and Dry, very tasty — 7 years ago
Star bright straw gold with persistent small bubbles. Abundant nose of citrus and white flowers. Firm acidity leads the medium light body and intros a palate of satsuma and honeysuckle. An excellent companion to rich fare like pot pies, Alfredo sauces, and firm white fish. Your *real* Italian alternative to Champagne. — 7 years ago
Lightly toasted yeasty bread and the barest hint of citrus rind without any of the tartness. Bubbly without being frothy. — 8 years ago
Aromas of fondant and lemon and perfectly ripened yellow pear.
Silky texture, this must go through a complete malolactic conditioning.
One of the few good wines I prefer served refrigerator cold. — 7 months ago
Strong, slight licorice at the beginning and hint of smoke — 2 years ago
Az. Agri. S. Cristina Lugana DOC 2020: Great balance. Beautiful acidity. Clean refreshing taste. Lots of minerals & lemon and a perfectly long, savory finish. This was an excellent white wine (honestly one of my most favorites of this Italian trip so far); a perfect way to enjoy our last dinner in Bellaria! Cheers🍷 — 4 years ago
My first Turbiana, or Trebbiano di Lugana but genetically a Verdicchio.
Nose of ripe stone fruits, lemon zest, wet stone, light white floral, and hint of almond. Medium to full body. Firm, vivid acidity provides good tension to the otherwise textured palate, finished with a medium mineral note.
This old vine riserva bottling is like a hybrid between Napa chard and Chablis. Will need to taste more Turbiana. — 5 years ago
Not as yeasty as expected for a wine that spent 6+ years on the lees. Lots of golden (bruised) apple, some pear juice, bitter lemon peel and bitter almond on the finish. Touch of honey, touch of that tangy yogurt/sourdough thing happening. Hint of RS but the acidity is banging. — 7 years ago
Here’s another Franciacorta that you could sip every day and on every occasion, showing layers of complexity and broad appeal. Strawberry, pear, stone fruit pit, floral aromatics and toast. Soft and clean the palate, wonderfully fresh. — 8 years ago
Wild has a off sweet intense unripe stone nose petrol intense grippy finish - was great after dinner — 8 months ago

Very soft and full open on the palate. Light but distinct floral bouquet on the nose. Apple and pomelo rind on the open with brioche on the finish. — 7 years ago
Very nice slightly richer Lugana. Almonds, white flowers and fruit. Balanced with sneaky concentration. Had this with a selection of Sushis and it worked nicely with most of them. Think this would go nicely with Risotto — 8 years ago

90 % Chardonnay, 10 % Pinot Noir and Pinot Bianco.
Traditional Champagne method with 36 months on the lees.
Golden green in colour.
Bread dough, lemon, green apples flowers and a touch of toastiness. Firm acidity with a fine creamy mousse.

His first vintage in 1979 was made with the idea of having his own wine to drink with friends.
Let’s all agree that we need a friend like that. — 5 months ago
