The 2021 Chardonnay (Russian River Valley) is super-expressive right out of the gate. Tangerine oil, lemon confit, chamomile, spice and lightly honeyed notes all run through this creamy, inviting Russian River Chardonnay from Gary Farrell. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2024)

A night of finishing coravined 07’s.
A purchase on the secondary market about 8 plus months ago. Its storage not what mine would show at this point. It’s farther advanced from what it should be at this stage, but still enjoyable. Showing some liqueur notes.
I feel similarly about this producers Napa Cabernets as I do Joseph Phelps. There’s differences and I lean into Phelps Napa over most of the Heitz Napa’s.

Bold oak and cedar over black cherry and a touch of stone. Big and holds up well to food. — 3 years ago
A blend of the five Bordeaux varietals, this is an exceptional wine. There’s a great balance of acidity, velvet tannins and black fruit. Cassis, black cherry, black plum, a light toast and vanilla oak component and developing tertiary character of leather, forest floor and cigar box. Terrifically harmonious the wine is full bodied with a sense of being heavy. A joy to consume. — 10 months ago
