Twins birthday — 8 years ago
Celebrating the birth of our twins, Drew and Emma!!! Can't go crazy while helping feed the little ones every 3 hours, but a glass of this is a great change to 4 nights in the hospital.
Classic Matthiasson Napa Red Blend. Definitely give it a little air, but it is somewhat passed its prime in my mind. The nose is the best part, then the finish, but it is starting to run thin and losing fruit and tannins. Still a great wine!

One of the Evil Twins from Fossil & Fawn's Ramato stylings with Pinot Gris. This is the "white" above-ground iteration that drinks like lavender & grapefruit skin tisane masqued as Rosé, masqued as clairvoyant pizza wine for a summer evening where anything feels possible! — 9 years ago

After weeks of landscaping, Spring cleaning and house guests for the last three weekends, Sofia and I finally have a weekend to kick it in the backyard. Watch the games, BBQ & sip some wine. Further, Sofia is back on the BSR train. Ahhhh...couldn’t be happier if I were twins. My go to N/V Rosé Champagne. Love it.
The pink rose petals are incredible. The acidity spot on. Lean fruits of; strawberries, cherries, tangerine, watermelon near the rhine, some yeast, baguette crust, sea spray, soft chalkiness with an edge, touch of gritty minerals, sea spray and a beautiful rich finish. From 375ml. — 7 years ago
Garnet. Deep dark red cherries. Tannin only slightly pucker. Leather light. Cat 5 refers to Hugo. I was on the Puerto Rican Island of Vieques where we indeed experienced a force 5 hurricane. I’m convinced my invited daughters became twins during the storm so this wine is sentimental as is opening this bottle Mother’s Day weekend. I love Yadkin Valley as our NC wine Center. Beautiful wines are produced in small batches. — 7 years ago
Round 2....very versatile wine as it paired nicely with tacos yesterday and equally as well with burgers tonight. Much more Chard like nose than previous vintages. Still more tame as well, with mild citrus, butter, and honey flavors. Exactly one month till the twins arrive, we hope!!! 😀 — 8 years ago
Wow this will be a fun competition between the 2015 and 2016. Which one will be better? This pair is worlds apart from the twins of 1989 and 1990! — 9 years ago

First and foremost, having this with dinner from the best restaurant (Sola) in Philadelphia with the most thoughtful, generous, and passionate owner in the world!! Thank you Brian!!!
Thank you also to some of the most generous, caring, and supportive friends who gave us this bottle. Thanks Steve & Chris!!
Our twins are luckier than they know right now for having these people in their lives.
Okay, sorry, onto the wine. Deep, dark purple color in the glass. Big cherry and strawberry tones on the nose. Smells like Valentines Day. The flavor is disappointing. Maybe it needs more air or age, but rather tame and average. Great texture and easy to drink, but leaves one unsatisfied at the price level. Solid wine, with nice fruit, but isn't differentiated at all from other Napa Cabs yet alone a single vineyard of the quality of Stagecoach. Have 3 more bottles so we'll see how they progress. — 8 years ago

1979 - perfumed, with pretty fruit, delicate yet structured, fragile yet alive.
1980 - opened hard, but evolved into an intellectual, harmonious wine with impressive energy and length. — 7 years ago
