Pretty. Less rustic than most maranges. 2019 — 8 months ago
Nice Pinot noir goes well with Lochinvar Salmon — 2 years ago
Wonderful, beautiful Pinot from the Chablis region. Drinks like a cooler region Pinot - fruity, light-med body, smooth, low-med tannins, nice acid. Could age a bit longer still. — 3 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over a 90 minute period. The 2019 “La Pièce sous le Bois” pours a glossy ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, well…the nose is gorgeous, if not downright sexy. Freshly picked, perfectly ripened strawberries, porchini, forest floor and gentle warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and voluptuous. This is very well-made. The fruit is such a star it’s almost as if this could have been from Santa Cruz Mountains. Drinking well now and has the ability to be enjoyed through 2029. — 5 months ago

Beautiful color of deep ruby and it looks thick and unctuous in the glass. Prominent spices on the nose- clove, bay leaves and fresh red fruits touch of Brett in a pleasant way. Spices carry through to the tongue. Good weight and body. Fine tannins. I'm glad this wasn't blended. It's a great expression of Cab Franc. — 6 months ago
Apple that had begun to rot in the cider bin (in a good way!) minerals and balanced oak integration. A very long and complex finish. — 4 years ago
