Was worried it was past it's prime at 11 years and my cork fell apart. Got lucky it still had life! Big wine. Wasn't exactly my fav but it was interesting. Solid finish. — 8 years ago
As a next to broke graduate student, I'm all about finding value wines, so I was pretty stoked when I tried this one. Floral nose with vegetal notes of crisp bell pepper. Sour cherry on the palette with vegetal and herbaceous characteristics and firm tannins. My only complaint is an ever so slightly bitter mid palette and finish. Overall a really nice find for a cab at $12 — 9 years ago
Poses a spicy nose with a wild feeling of prunes and red table grapes. Palate is black currant, red plum, coffee. You can tell that there is a long going on here, plus a medium long finish. Pure with berry fruit. Young. I expect complexity to come with age as is typical with Geyserville. $38 at winery. — 10 years ago
Totally closed at the moment.
6 h in the decanter didn't helped. — 10 years ago
Burgundy meets CA. Lighter style, tons of hay and strawberry and great fullness to it despite the light color. — 10 years ago
Tasted it at the recent Anthill sale. Wow!! — 11 years ago
2006 vintage. At Au Fil du Zinc, Chablis. Pale garnet hue. Savoury, Earth and manure nose, red currant and wild strawberry, red cherry. On the palate, medium acidity, medium body, medium plus alcohol. Full concentration. Long long finish. Licorice, mint, savoury spices, the whole shebang. More evolved than the '05. Superb. — 9 years ago
Black fruit with pleasantly dusty herbs. Pure black currant. Pure waves of rolling spice that grows with time. Not cheap, but great value for money. $50 at winery. — 10 years ago
Holy moly! Hands down the best pour of the experience at Pine Ridge. Amazing. — 10 years ago
2007 Marcassin Blue-Slide Ridge Pinot. Drank as the second red wine at the David Gray concert. Worked out well bc the Brunello was much more suited as a food wine and this wine was perfect to drink without food, after dinner and during the actual concert. Tons of fruit balanced with nice minerality. Great weight and texture in the mouth. Really enjoyed! — 10 years ago
Full body, a nice fruity taste, and a little dry at the end. Overall pretty good. — 10 years ago
Fruity, smooth. Brought by Steven Fingerhood, purchased at D&M — 8 years ago
30 min allowed for the wine to open... Ever so slight hint of prunes from ripe plums on the nose, juicy fresh grape flavors, mid palate of earth, cedar, & acid that causes cleansing salivation across the tongue... 2007 vintage firing on all cylinders, and at a high moment, from a producer of magical Zinfandels... it's the next morning, and I'm still craving more. — 9 years ago
This is memorable. Bright, fresh strawberry and barnyard. Young. — 10 years ago
A great find at our hotel. A jammy Lodi Zin. Lots of berry with a very smooth finish. Have enjoyed as my nightcap every night in San Fransisco. — 10 years ago
