German beer nose with tinges of orange rinds dried and fresh. Yeasty-haziness gives it green plantain and lightest spearmint marshmallow and artichoke. Damn tasty though, despite its jumble of signals. Jamaican coco bread, rosemary bits, polenta, beer-bitterness that the style usually glosses gives it a nice perspective lemon peel and lime, candied ginger and grapefruit; all low-keyed and harmonious. Lemon bread with poppy. Tasty yeasty baby beastie.

Nose is crushed lilacs. Amazing. A hint of old great burgundy. Some game after 2.5 hours.

Palate is sour cherries and cranberries. Spice. Licorice. So dense. Texture is gorgeous. A crazy mutant love child of volnay and gevry.

Long kinky finish of dense spice and licorice. Wow.

Nothing like this.

.. at 3 hours this is a “tee hee” wine. So delicious. You’re like laughing at the price. So mouth coating. So delicious. Sick ass finish that busts blasts the palate and makes it almost vibrate.

I saw someone else' comment on here, 97 vintage, saying 'past.' What a chump. Once again, if you are rating this wine any less than 9.2 we don't want to hear it. Keep your nit-picking sniveling mutant face away from this juice. Don't buy it. Only buy this if you respect that it says clos de la coulee de serrant on the bottle. That is by far what's happening and no one cares about your opinion. This appellation exists because your opinion is not that important. This appellation speaks louder than 99.9999% of professional careers since careers have existed. If you don't approach with respect you will be slapped and there will be no apologies.
