The Eyrie Vineyards, Pinot Gris, from the Dundee Hills of Oregon. Vintage 2017. ABV 12.5%.
Bright citrus and tart melon and cantaloupe notes with some salinity and wet stone influences. Very refreshing and youthful.
Easy to pair with food, we have paired it with roasted bok choy, aubergine, and brown jasmine rice. It goes nicely and doesn’t compete with the tamari and sesame flavors. — 4 years ago
scrambled my brain--really bright & tart-opens into some extremely SOFT&MELLOW fruit & floral moments--but not to worry--never loses the funk--definitely dirty 🍄 — 8 years ago
Pure apple and pear with a touch of vanilla. Good acidity and balance. Just lacks complexity. But at nine years, it is not likely to add complexity in years to come. Drink now! — 8 years ago
Lively and singing! Can you imagine, every single textbook says that Oregon Chardonnay was not very good pre the arrival of Dijon clones - it is COMPLETE AND UTTER NONSENSE. — 10 years ago

Funky. Climate based burgundy. 😌 — 9 years ago
A wine to end all arguments. From the Eyrie cellar; re-corked and released 2013. Jason Lett told me this was the best Chardonnay they've ever made. I would counter and say this is one of the best Chardonnays ever made in this continent. I will never forget this bottle. — 10 years ago

Drinking a piece of history. Dirt, spice , flowers and red fruit. Still a bit tannic. Needs a couple of years to settle. 2015 — 4 years ago
