Lovely. Nothing special, but easy to drink — 2 years ago

Dusted Valley Vintners

BFM Stone Tree Vineyard Merlot Blend 2016

Black cherry, coco, and coffee notes on the nose are seductive and indicative of the relative youth of this vintage. On the sip, all those flavors come through, especially the black cherry. In addition some black plum, tobacco and vanilla come through. Yum! — 4 years ago

The Dreaming Tree

California Chardonnay

Not usually a fan of Chardonnay, but this was a pleasant surprise. Very bright, and doesn’t taste too rich. Excellent chilled. Strong notes of green apples and pears. — 6 years ago

California Pinot Noir 2016

One of my favorites. Just the right amount of fruit, wood, and terroir. A bit acidic but not too much. Pairs nicely with cheese and charcuterie. — 6 years ago

Marked Tree Red Shiraz 2009

Heard great things about this value shiraz and didnt dissapoint. It is really quality shiraz and it is like baby canokilla. Good fragrant with dark berry and subtle minerality. The tannin is fine and quite a complex wine. Real good value for money — 7 years ago

Saarloos & Sons

Family Tree El Camino Real Vineyard GSM 2014

This past Saturday I attended a get together with close friends. We opened the 2014 Saarloos & Sons Family Tree Rhone Blend. 55% Grenache, 27% Mourvedre and 18% Syrah. This was the hit of the evening that turned heads and got people talking.

The nose was light with cherry, raspberry, plum, cinnamon, black pepper, anise, roses and an earthy gravel.

On the palate was beautiful fruit of black cherry, blackberry, plum, black pepper, anise , clove and a good gravel component.

The wine was soft velvety smooth with a medium mouth feel and medium to plus acidity with medium smooth tannin that leads to a medium long finish. A very enjoyable wine. Almost the weekend please be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Reininger

Helix Stone Tree SoRho Red Rhone Blend 2016

A whiff of strawberry quik.

Light to medium, strawberry theme continues with some strawberry taffy, menthol, a bit of heat on the back end, with low tannins and low acidity.
Great wine company, great wines.

Rombauer Vineyards

Carneros Chardonnay 2017

Had another bottle. Rombauer Vineyards was founded in 1982 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer and sits on a tree covered knoll overlooking the Napa Valley. The winery features caves that extend for over a mile into the hillside. Rich aromas of stone and tropical fruit with sweet oak spice scents. On the palate peach, melon and apple, with soft vanilla spice, rich & creamy, yet crisp. Lingering smooth finish, well balanced ending with mineral notes. Better than ‘16, ‘17 much fresher tasting. — 6 years ago

Really smooth to drink, not overly fruity. Full and a little bit of spice in your throat. We really liked it. It might even be one of our favorites! — 7 years ago
