Smoke Tree started in 2013 with a small group of No. California winemakers, discussing affordable options for CA Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In 2014 their first vintage come to fruition. The distinctive Smoke Tree label represents the natural beauty of Sonoma. Ruby with berry fruit aromas and spice. On the palate strawberry and cherry with citrus and oak notes and pepper spice. Soft tannins, lingering ending with subtle spice. Good value. Tasting Sample.

Medium bodied wine and very acidic at first. Aromas of red plum and raspberry. Has a nice balanced finish.

"Smoke tree" may refer to any of several plants, some of whose parts are finely divided and give the appearance of smoke from a distance... how this relates to Chinese Food & Greys Anatomy I'm not sure 🤔 buuut I like the wine, earthy, some funk, grabbed my girls Ba dunk a dunk.

This was a nice Pinot. But nothing special and would try something else rather than buy it again. It was fruity, musty, earthy and a little oaky
