Keith's annual fino dinner where I over drink carbon dated sherry. Dry start and finish with rockstar spunk. Very mineral. Special barrel at the end of the line with the oldest wine in the entire solera. — 9 years ago
Impressive wine! Decanted it for 30 min. Checked it at opening again at 30 min but it opened up around 50 min. Full and complex with strong black fruit, cocoa, and oak spice. This is still a baby in terms of maturity. As always Insignia delivers as true as a Bordeaux first growth would, which was their model from inception. — 10 years ago
OMG--this old
#Latour is so massive that you could eat it with a fork!
One of the greatest vintages of the 20th century, and, even now, this wine has years of life ahead of it!
And to think that I used to work in a wine shop that had cases piled up ten high priced at $50 per bottle! #1959 — 10 years ago
Deep purple, sweet black cherry, good structure with 30 second finish, some vanilla. Little black licorice on finish. Solid Oakville cab (especially at $50). — 11 years ago
More special with a great group of friends. Very good cherry easy tannins. — 7 years ago
Drank 11/10/17.
Big fan of this wine. Beautiful bouquet of earth, black berries, and cedar. Very nicely balanced, with sweet black cherry, tar, and moderate tannins. Long finish. This should hold for another 10 years, but seems to be in a sweet spot right now. A great option while waiting for your 2010's to mature.

Young, bold, 50% Cab and 50% Merlot, rich and chocolate, tight, not sure if I can wait 10 years for optimal drinking — 9 years ago
The way a wine should be. Balanced and smooth. Delicious mix of merlot, cabernet and sangiovese flavors. Blend: 50% Merlot, 30% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Not overwhelming flavors. Silky smooth and round tannins. Beautiful finish. 13.5% abv — 10 years ago
Nice Blend from Graves. 50% Merlot, 50% Cab. Enjoying this with the Walsh family. — 10 years ago
Tip top quality. Dark and dirty tones on the nose lead to an eyeopening showcase of depth of flavor carried with such grace and softness. Pure artistry and craftmanship. Homerun, slamdunk, hole in one. — 10 years ago
Virkelig god vin. — 11 years ago
Tasted 8/24/17. Total wine tasting. Tasting pour.
Notes from memory. Tasted blind. Nose of black fruits and tar with some cedar eventually emerging. Blackberry and cocoa on the palate, with well integrated tannins, medium to full body, and excellent balance, straddling the line between an old world and new world style bordeaux blend. A crowd pleaser. Slightly preferred this to the Malbec, although both solid

Great wine! Little no no acidity. No indigestion after drinking. Light tannins with a wet finish. Flavor is good despite the alcohol nose with little alcohol taste. Good deal at $4 from Kroger. — 9 years ago
Whispers, will pair nicely with fish, poulty, and more. — 10 years ago
Great wine! Delicious and a great price! — 10 years ago

They should not have opened it. Years to go. Bright future. Three bottles opened. Absorptive crowd sucked it up. — 7 years ago
