Isn't exactly in tune with Global Champagne Day, but this is close. Franciacorta, from one of the finest. Methode champenoise or as the Italian calls it, metado classico. 75% Chard 15% Pinot Noir 10% Pinot Bianco (which they claim to better fit the rounding role than Meunier - think it has more aging potential) 25 months aging.
Delicious sparkling. Good dosage, precise acid line. Fresh, crisp apple notes with ample autolytic characters. Touch of aldehyde adds complexity! First Franciacorta and am in love. Yum. — 9 years ago

Malty with just the right amount of sweetness. Thicker than I usually like, but not overpowering. Bavaria! — 7 years ago
2011 Vintge. One of the finest wines I've ever had. Lots of earthy flavors going on, including truffles, leather and tobacco. Even a tiny hint of licorice, but in a good way. Perfect balance of fruit and tannin as well. Just wish I could afford it more often. My special occasion wine. — 9 years ago
Never fails to be a crowd pleaser. Washington cab at its finest. These wines benefit from time. Can't wait to try this in another 5 years — 10 years ago
It's a 18% dessert wine from Georgia (Rare), it smell pretty solid with slightly rum's flavor, taste like sweet aged fruit. I can't tell how amazing it is when pairing with tiramisu! You definitely want to keep one in your house for dessert anytime! — 10 years ago
Very crispy SB with typical NZ taste after rhubarb and little of lemon. Bit short finish and bit rough in tannins. — 10 years ago
Mrs. Robinson, are you trying to seduce me? You're an old hand at this with your hint of tobacco and mellowed spiciness. Yet you've still got kick. — 11 years ago
