These guys have been making Grappa since 1885 and that's what they do first and foremost. They use their decades old relationships to secure the best pulp and then age their spirit in oak barrels, which gives the golden tint to the coloring and adds a smoothness and a roundness that is unlike any Grappa I've ever had. Grappa is not by any stretch on my go to list for sipping spirits. But this makes a good case to be considered. — 7 years ago
We switched tables with a party and in their gratitude this showed up—fun times at Tabula Rasa! I really dug this as a nice finishing wine for the night—low alcohol, bubbly, acidic and sweet and (if I’d been paying) not too expensive as I found out in research. I’ll be back for more. — 7 years ago
Forget Pinot with duck, brunello is fantastic. The acidity cuts through just like a Pinot but followed up with an austere licorice sweetness. This Pian Dell Orino is well balanced, the oak adds a subtle touch, and the extra maceration of the grape the sweetness. #sangiovese #delectable @brandonwinelibrary — 8 years ago

An interesting and fruity #Syrah. Enjoyed this bottle on an unexpectedly stormy day on the Cape, so it was fitting given the weather. Here, the bottle is pictured posing with a garish sculpture found in our Airbnb. Needless to say, we preferred the bottle to the sculpture. 🗿 — 7 years ago
