Full bodied, dry, a bit acidic, and rich in tannins. There's cherry and berry flavors after a swirl on the palate, maybe even a little chocolate. So tannins upfront and the fruitfullness to finish. — 6 years ago

Patience is rewarded. This beast has mellowed into a dark fruit, espresso and earthy juice that’s a pleasure to drink. Just enough acidity. Tannins have grip and elevate this baby into something big and worth drinking. Those Beaucastel descendants know what they’re doing! — 7 years ago
Rustic without funk. Pure cab franc flavors with lots of licorice. — 8 years ago
Dark ruby in color with a purple rim.
Very strong fruity nose with black currants, blackberries, figs, raisins, vanilla, sweet raspberries, smoke, chocolates, mocha, earth, wood, licorice, vinegrete and black pepper.
Full bodied, jammy and rich, with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, strawberries, ripe cranberries, earth, vanilla, licorice, oak, peppercorn and spices.
Long finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
A great blend from the house of Michael David. Soft and well balanced, with nice complexity, and a tangy mouth watering finish. Enjoyable by itself, good right out of the bottle, and a little better after an hour.
This 4 year old is drinking very nicely now and will be good in the next few years. I kept it for a couple of years in my cellar, to see if there are any changes, but I don't see a reason for that. Great vintage as it is.
A good sipping wine that will also work well with grilled meats.
A blend of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Mourvedre and Grenache.

Absolutely gorgeous red! Dark chocolate hints with cigar smoke and earth. Many layers. — 5 years ago
Love this, highly drinkable, smooth and flavorful — 7 years ago
Great red from Uruguay. Big black fruit aromas. Full and ripe fruit flavors of blackberries and plums. Big note of juniper berries. Hints of herbs and just the right amount of oak. Rich and velvety texture. Did not have the big tannin structure I was expecting. Blending in 30% Merlot is a great move. Really softened the big Tennat tannin reputation. Outstanding vino! — 7 years ago

Opened for mom on MM Ben dinner. Inky dark color with earthy nose and weight palate. Would be good with heavier winter meals. — 3 years ago

A rosé I would drink again and again. It really is as soft, supple and smooth as a baby’s bottom. Like raspberry sun kisses. — 7 years ago
